PROTECTED, HIDDEN, AND NOT YET TIME ~ Guidance, Memory, and the Timing of Disclosure

One of the most persistent themes in my life has been the strange relationship between contact and memory, because I have often known something important was happening while simultaneously being denied full access to what I knew at another level of consciousness. For many years, that contradiction frustrated me deeply, because I wanted answers, continuity, and some way to understand why so much of my own story seemed to sit just beyond the reach of ordinary recall.

Over my life, however, I came to understand that the gaps were not random.

My guide, guides, and another presence I call “The Narrator” have repeatedly communicated with me telepathically, although I hesitate to describe those exchanges as conversations in the ordinary sense because the messages do not usually arrive as sentences spoken inside my head. Meaning comes first, whole and immediate, and only afterward do I translate what I received into words I can share with other people.

Among the most consistent understandings I have received is that I am protected, that I can be hidden when necessary, and that those who might wish to reach me or harm me cannot simply do so because they want to. When I was younger, I did not fully comprehend what that reassurance meant, but over time I began to recognize that unrestricted access to everything I know at a higher-self level might have placed me in danger.

There are beings, people, organizations, or forces that might respond very differently to someone who consciously possesses certain information, and the limits placed upon my memory began to make more sense once I considered the possibility that forgetting could serve as a shield.

WHEN FORGETTING BECOMES PROTECTION

The mind wipes that followed some of my experiences once felt like deprivation because I would retain enough awareness to know that something significant had happened while lacking the complete narrative that would allow me to understand it. I could feel the absence, sense the missing portion, and sometimes recognize emotional or physical consequences without being able to reconstruct the sequence that produced them.

As the years passed, however, I began to see that the restriction itself might be part of the protective system surrounding my life. If I had possessed unrestricted conscious access as a child to every contact experience, every being, every communication, every agreement, every facility, and every level of information available to the greater self, I might have exposed myself to dangers I was not yet equipped to recognize.

The protection, as I understand it, therefore includes not only shielding but timing.

I do not receive everything simply because I want to know it, and information does not necessarily become available because I ask repeatedly. Instead, what I need often arrives at the point when another experience, person, project, memory, or piece of information gives me the context required to understand what would previously have been confusing, destabilizing, or unsafe.

That process can be infuriating when curiosity becomes desperate.

There were many times when I cried out inwardly, “Why?”

Why can’t I remember?

Why won’t you tell me?

Why do I know there is more while being unable to reach it?

For years, the response remained essentially the same.

Because it’s not time.

Those are the words I use now, but the original communication was not necessarily verbal. The meaning arrived as a complete understanding that the information existed, that it had not been lost, and that access would come when the appropriate moment arrived.

THE NARRATOR

The presence I call The Narrator has a distinctive place in my experience because the communication often feels like an intelligence that stands slightly outside the immediate drama, offering perspective, reassurance, or direction while I am immersed in events I do not yet fully understand.

The Narrator does not always explain in detail. Sometimes the role seems to be simply to remind me that there is a larger structure operating behind what Janet can presently perceive.

At difficult moments, the understanding has often been some variation of: You are protected. You are hidden. No one can get to you.

Again, those are my words for something communicated through telepathic knowing, emotional resonance, and direct understanding rather than through literal speech.

The reassurance did not mean that ordinary life would become easy or that I would never experience pain, uncertainty, or loss. What it conveyed was that there were limits on what others could access, that some knowledge remained concealed for a reason, and that a larger intelligence was involved in determining when certain information became available.

WHY FULL ACCESS MAY HAVE BEEN DANGEROUS

With the passage of time, I came to believe that if Janet had possessed conscious access to everything known at the level of the higher self, I might have attracted people or beings who would have wanted to use, control, silence, manipulate, or harm me.

That possibility helped me reinterpret much of my earlier frustration because the question changed from “Why am I being denied my own memories?” to “What would have happened if I had carried all of this openly before I was ready?”

The greater self could continue to know while the local personality remained partially shielded, which created an unusual form of compartmentalization in which the totality retained the complete record while the waking personality received access in stages.

What Janet needed would emerge when Janet could use it.

THE MESSAGE BEGINS TO CHANGE

For many years, the message remained remarkably consistent: it is not time.

More recently, however, the quality of the communication has begun to shift.

What I now receive carries a different sense of urgency and proximity, as though something that once belonged to a distant horizon has moved much closer.

The message has become more like:

We’re almost there.

The time is upon us.

I do not claim to know exactly what that means, because I have not been given the details and I do not want to pretend that I possess information I have not actually received. What I do know is that I strongly associate this approaching threshold with disclosure and open extraterrestrial Contact.

The sense of waiting that followed me for decades no longer feels the same.

Something that once seemed postponed now feels near.

That change in tone has affected the way I look back upon the entire pattern of forgetting, protection, guidance, and delayed revelation, because what once appeared to be obstruction may have been preparation for a moment that required information to remain compartmentalized until humanity, my own consciousness, or both reached a certain stage.

INFORMATION ARRIVES WHEN IT IS NEEDED

One of the lessons I have had to learn repeatedly is that knowledge does not always arrive in the order the conscious mind prefers.

I may want the complete explanation first and the experience second, while the process often works in exactly the opposite direction. Something happens, I carry fragments for years, another event later activates recognition, and only then does the meaning begin to emerge.

That pattern has taught me that information can remain present without remaining consciously accessible.

The larger consciousness does not necessarily lose what Janet cannot retrieve; instead, the information waits outside the current focus of awareness until something opens the door.

This is also why my understanding of memory differs from the ordinary idea that forgotten material has simply vanished. I experience the greater totality as a complete record, while the local personality works with only the portion currently available.

When the time comes, a memory, recognition, or understanding can return with an immediacy that makes it clear to me that it was not created at that moment.

It was retrieved.

TRUSTING THE TIMING

That does not mean I have become endlessly patient.

I am still curious, still impatient, and still capable of asking why I cannot know something now rather than later.

Yet the repetition of the pattern over the course of my life has taught me to trust the distinction between not knowing and not yet being allowed access.

Those are not the same thing.

The information may exist within the larger field of consciousness while the focused personality remains temporarily separated from it.

If the timing is protective, then receiving information too early could create danger, confusion, or emotional overload rather than clarity. If the timing is developmental, then certain knowledge may require a level of context that does not yet exist. If the timing is connected with disclosure, then some information may not become relevant until humanity itself reaches a threshold at which it can be understood within a larger collective framework.

“WE’RE ALMOST THERE”

The most striking change in recent years is that the familiar refrain of “not yet” has begun giving way to something else.

The feeling is no longer simply that I must wait.

The feeling is that whatever we have been waiting for is moving closer.

I associate that change with disclosure, extraterrestrial Contact, and a broader shift in human awareness, but because I have not been given the complete details, I remain careful not to draw conclusions beyond what I actually perceive.

What I can say is that the communication now feels different from the message that followed me for decades.

For years the answer was, “Because it’s not time.”

Now, more and more, the understanding feels like:

We’re almost there. The time is upon us.

After a lifetime of waiting, remembering, forgetting, asking, and receiving only what I needed when I needed it, that change in tone feels significant.
