Image Prompt: Create a cinematic 16:9 full-color featured image for the article “The Author of the Godspell: How the Anunnaki Split Wrote Both Our Fear and Our Awakening.” Show Janet Kira Lessin as a youthful, petite, slim, healthy woman with sandy strawberry-blonde hair, soft bangs, blue eyes, fair skin, a warm radiant smile, graceful 5’1” proportions, and luminous vitality. Place Janet at center, lit from the right. To her left rises a tall, austere Anunnaki figure cloaked in shadow and command, radiating control and inherited dread, with faint imagery of obedience and fear behind him. To her right rises a tall, luminous Anunnaki figure radiating knowledge, welcome, and liberation, with imagery of open channels of light and rising humanity behind him. Above them all, a vast star-filled sky holds the great planet Nibiru and subtle sacred geometry. The composition shows that the human story was shaped by two intentions, and that Janet stands in the light of the awakening one. FULL COLOR, luminous cinematic fantasy realism, crisp photorealistic faces, sharp blue eyes, detailed realistic skin and hair, balanced cream, blue, teal, ivory, silver, rose, lapis, and gentle gold accents, bright yet controlled, clean atmospheric depth, mythic emotional resonance, elegant composition, landscape 16:9. Avoid horror, demons, gore, blurry faces, muddy color, heavy orange or gold wash, cartoon style, distorted bodies, clutter, text, or letter-like symbols.

In my companion article, “The Godspell in the Stars,” I located fear inside the watcher rather than inside the visitor. A child raised on a creed of obedience and dread learns terror before language, then meets a being from another density and hands that being the terror. The encounter stays clean. The interpretation springs from the wound. That article entered through the trauma door, and it holds.

This article walks one floor deeper and asks the question the first one left open. Who taught the watcher to fear? The godspell carries an author. The dread we inherit reaches back past childhood, past culture, into the founding arrangement that shaped our species from its first chapter. Neil Freer gave us the word godspell to name the deep programming that keeps humanity dependent and afraid. I name the hand that wrote it.

“The godspell carries an author, and the dread we inherit reaches back into the founding arrangement itself.”

Two Factions, One Species

The Anunnaki who shaped humanity divided into two camps, and that division decided everything that followed. Zecharia Sitchin spent his life mapping the conflict between Enlil and Enki, half-brothers who held opposite visions for the new beings they helped create.

Enlil ran the control model. He saw humanity as a labor force, a created servant class, a population to manage through obedience and fear. He authored a religion of command. Worship from below, dread of punishment, distance from the divine, and a wall between the human and the cosmic. That arrangement keeps a people manageable across thousands of years.

Enki ran the liberation model. He saw potential where Enlil saw property. He opened the channels of knowledge, granted the gifts of civilization, and treated the new beings as kin worth raising rather than tools worth using. The awakening traditions across every culture carry Enki’s fingerprints, the same way the obedience traditions carry Enlil’s.

So the godspell holds an author, and his name is Enlil. Every reader who meets a visitor through terror answers Enlil’s old design. Every reader who arrives through wonder answers Enki’s older invitation. The fear and the welcome both descend from the same founding split, and a person inherits one stream or the other depending on the lens their culture handed them.

“Enlil authored the fear. Enki authored the awakening. We inherit one stream or the other through the lens our culture hands us.”

The Program Beneath the Creed

I grew up near twelve fundamentalist cousins who carried their creed from cradle to grave, and the fear inside it traveled with them the whole way. In the first article I framed that creed as inherited religious conditioning. Here I name its deeper source. The creed those cousins absorbed runs Enlil’s original program. Obedience under threat of hell, worship from a posture of dread, a divine kept far overhead and armed with punishment. The theology shifted its vocabulary across millennia, yet the architecture held, because Enlil built it to hold.

I left that program at twelve when I asked my mother to release me from Sunday school, and she agreed. I called that release my protection in the companion piece. I call it something larger now. I stepped out of Enlil’s stream and into Enki’s. The wonder that met my contact experiences flowed from the liberation model, the one that treats the cosmos as kin and the human as a being worth waking.

George and the Older Map

When I was four years old, a bipedal reptilian being stepped from a portal in my best friend’s backyard, and I called him George. The first article tracked my journey with him from fear to recognition to love. The Anunnaki map deepens that story.

The Draco lineage threads through Anunnaki history as kin and rival across long ages. A being who steps from a backyard portal arrives as part of that ancient family rather than as a stray monster from a horror reel. George fits the older record. My child mind reached for dinosaur figures that Christmas because some part of me already held the shape of an ancient reptilian intelligence who had entered my life as guide rather than predator. The lineage explains the recognition. I knew him because his kind has walked beside humanity since the founding.

“The visitor arrives as kin from an ancient family, and recognition runs deeper than the fearful mind can reach.”

The Facilitators and the Long Echo

The early hypnotherapists who shaped the experiencer field split along the same ancient line, and most of them held no idea they did so. John Mack of Harvard and Budd Hopkins met their clients with curiosity and care, and they let the witness lead. They worked in Enki’s stream, the one that honors the experiencer and trusts the encounter to reveal its own meaning.

David Jacobs walked the other road. He framed the visitors as cold engineers of a breeding program, harvesters of human genetics, and he handed that dread to his witnesses as established fact. The terror moved from the facilitator into the person on the table, and from there into the wider culture. That transmission echoes Enlil’s original move. Install the fear, present it as truth, and let it propagate down the generations under its own power. The dread Jacobs taught wears modern clinical language, and it carries the oldest program on Earth.

The Masterwork of the Fear-Gospel

Whitley Strieber opened the door for millions with Communion in 1987. This spring, on Ross Coulthart’s Reality Check, in the Transformation 2026 episode, Strieber advanced an old and troubling frame. He described a non-human intelligence that hungers for the human soul and feeds on the experiences a lifetime gathers. I listened with concern, because that premise stands as the masterwork of the fear-gospel, the deepest and most refined form Enlil’s program ever achieved.

Consider the elegance of the lie from a control architect’s view. A frame that paints the visitor as a soul-eater seals a human inside permanent dread of the cosmos itself. It slams every door Enki opened. It turns the night sky into a predator and the awakening into a trap. My answer rests on seven decades of evidence. These beings carry their own fullness, and they reach toward us out of fascination rather than appetite. Many of them evolved past the storms of emotion that still rule humanity, and they bred those storms out of themselves across long ages in pursuit of peace. The hunger for our souls lives in the fearful mind that projects it. Enlil planted that mind, and the soul-hunger frame is its ripest fruit.

“A frame that paints the visitor as a soul-eater seals a human inside permanent dread of the cosmos. It slams every door Enki opened.”

The Threshold Is Enki’s Doorway

My husband and research partner, Dr. Sasha Alex Lessin, and I hold one more layer together. We all connect at the highest level of existence, and the extraterrestrial presence lives within the matrix that joins all dimensions. A consciousness attuned to that web meets the visitor as recognition. A mind walled inside self against other meets the same visitor as invasion.

That wall is Enlil’s signature. He built the separation between human and divine, between self and cosmos, and he profited from every brick of it. Enki’s doorway opens the opposite way. It dissolves the wall and reveals the kinship underneath. The threshold humanity stands on now marks the moment a critical mass of people step from Enlil’s separation into Enki’s recognition. We speak of nuclear holocaust in the same breath as star travel, and that contradiction measures the exact distance between the two authors still fighting for the human mind.

Disclosure Day and the Lifting of the Suppression

The faction that ran the control model held back the knowledge humanity needs to evolve, and it held that knowledge back from the very beginning. The suppression of contact, the suppression of history, the suppression of the healing technologies, all of it served the same architecture that Enlil raised at the founding.

Enki’s age arrives now. The Age of Aquarius opens the channels at last, and humanity stands cleared to receive the information required to grow, wake, and take its place among the family of worlds. The upsurge we feel as we approach Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day carries that signature. The wall comes down across every layer at once. The craft, the history, the medicine, and the end of the slow surrender we learned to call aging all arrive together, because they sat behind the same wall the whole time.

On June 12th, Spielberg hands eight billion people a mirror. Many will answer from Enlil’s old dread, because his program still runs in millions of minds. I answer from Enki’s stream, the one I stepped into at twelve and have walked every day since. Deprogram the godspell. Recognize its author. Choose the other author, the one who opened the doors. The universe waits for us to recognize family, and the family has waited a very long time.

“The wall comes down across every layer at once, because the craft, the history, the medicine, and the end of aging sat behind the same wall the whole time.”

A Note on Sources and Language

The term godspell comes from the work of Neil Freer, who used it to name the deep programming of dependence and dread that humanity carries from its Anunnaki origins. The Enlil and Enki framework rests on the lifelong research of Zecharia Sitchin and his interpretation of the Sumerian record. This article reads that record through the lens of contact experience and consciousness research, and it treats the two Anunnaki factions as the founding authors of the fear and the awakening that still divide the human response to the cosmos.

Bells & Whistles

Short Excerpt

In her companion to “The Godspell in the Stars,” Janet Kira Lessin asks the question the first article left open. If fear lives in the watcher, who taught the watcher to fear? She traces the dread back to its author: Enlil, the Anunnaki who built a religion of obedience, set against Enki, the Anunnaki who opened the channels of knowledge and awakening. As Disclosure Day approaches, she argues that the wall hiding the craft, the history, the medicine, and the end of aging all descend from the same founding control program, and that Enki’s Age of Aquarius now lifts the suppression across every layer at once.

Meta Description

Janet Kira Lessin names the author of humanity’s inherited fear: the Anunnaki split between Enlil’s control model and Enki’s liberation model, and why Disclosure Day marks the lifting of an ancient suppression.
