Richard Doty was born in New York State but grew up in a military family. He served his country in the US Air Force and attended college at Pacific Lutheran University. After completing his education, the Air Force Office of Special Investigation (AFOSI) recruited Richard following his participation in intelligence courses conducted by AFOIS, the Defense Intelligence Agency, and the Central Intelligence Agency.
Richard’s service as a counterintelligence officer took him to various locations, including Kirtland Air Force Base, the Nevada Test Site, the Air Force Test Center, Detachment 3, Groom Lake, and Area 51. While at Kirtland AFB, Richard investigated the Coyote Canyon UFO sighting and the Paul Bennewitz incident.
In the later stages of his career, Richard served as a counterespionage agent at AFOSI European Headquarters in Wiesbaden, Germany. After leaving AFOSI, they transferred him to an Air Force Reserve unit. Richard then took up employment with the State of New Mexico, specifically working for the Institute for Advanced Studies under the direction of Dr. Hal Puthoff.
In 2017, Richard joined Gaia and became a prominent figure in their show, “Cosmic Disclosure,” with Emery Smith. He has over 100 episodes to his credit. He has also launched a new program called “The Doty Chronicle” in collaboration with UAMN-TV. Richard has provided advisory services for many motion pictures.
