His songs so different but nod to past greats or musicians that he grew up listening too. He’s a genius!! Sucks you in wanting more. Praying he can get the medical help so he can give us more tracks 🙏🙏 Great reaction man.

I’m faking being strong for those who need me, but I feel like there’s nobody around for me when I’m in need. This song, beginning to end, hit me in the core of my soul. I’m going to wake up tomorrow, I’m going to keep waking up, I may not live every day, but every day I will exist. If I cannot live, then I will love. I will continue to exist and I will remember that I am human…

And it definitely caused me to sub AND share. I just wanted to let you know I agreed with your whole summation: this was a piece of art and actually, I got chills.

4 weeks agoI promise you; you will come back to this song again and again. The first time you hear it, you cannot absorb it all at once. After a couple of views you’ll recognise the little nuances that separate the two Ren’s: the staccato in the playing, the lights flickering, the tones of passive Ren and aggressive Ren. The fragmentation and imperfection of it all. You’ll hear more of the lyrics (which are phenomenal). The fact that this is presumably biographical and then having to convey that to us, the listener, successfully but also originally. Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran wouldn’t have a clue! It is Picasso’s cubism or Dali’s surrealsim. It is art and I’m so glad that it’ll never make commercial radio because it’s too good for that. But we get it because we know that this is something truly special. If you want to go down the rabbit hole, search for Violet’s tale and then the Tale of Jenny and Screech…Read more

Rarely do people with psychosis understand what is real and what is part of their hallucinations. He is also able to beautifully describe his inner life. So glad he wrote this song. Hopefully this song will encourage people to rethink their beliefs and prejudices toward mentally divergent people. Can’t wait to see what else he will share. An authentic person for sure.

That’s why I connect with this song soo much, it’s very relatable to just about everybody who has struggled in life. This isn’t just a song, this song is one of the best pieces of art I’ve ever seen and it cuts right down to the soul!!

The main reason I don’t listen to rap is I can’t understand the words because of poor diction. The music/guitar was outstanding. It showcased his message. This video is in a class all by itself.

I am in my 60s and have just come to realize how emotionally “contracted” I’ve been to these negative energy thoughts. They’re not mine, unless I choose, freely, to accept their contracts. Amazing song. So true!!!!

3 weeks agoThe song structure itself is incredible. It starts off as a battle between his positive (Angel) and negative (Demon) aspects, the negative makes an overpowering last ditch effort to reign supreme, but ultimately fails as the final act, being the “God” aspect, emerges Triumphant, though still acknowledging and accepting that it will always be a battle because we are all “a coin with 2 different sides”. It’s a powerful piece of performance art that gives “broken” people HOPE. It’s a beautifully raw musical masterpiece. Ren is special. Welcome to the Ren rabbit-hole, it’s a trip worth taking.

2:06hi there and it’s been a little while

2:08did you miss me before you buried me

2:10didn’t you risky cause I always come

2:12back down you know that be down you know

2:14I’m always in periphery ran on your

2:16pleas to see me it’s been weak since we

2:17spoke bro I know you need me you’re the

2:19Sheep I’m the shepherd nor your place to

2:20lead me not your place to be biting off

2:22the hand that feeds me hi Bren I’ve been

2:24taking some time to be distant I’ve been

2:27taking some time to be still I’ve been

2:29taking some time to be by myself since

2:31my therapist told me I’m Ill and I’ve

2:33been making some progress lately and

2:35I’ve learned some new coping skills so I

2:37haven’t really needed any much man I

2:39think we need to just step back and

2:41chill ran you sound what we’re saying

2:43than I do you think that those doctors

2:44are really that’s a guy Jimmy crew this

2:46a million times your civilian mind is so

2:48perfect they’re always being lied to

2:49okay take another pill boy drown

2:51yourself in the sound of white noise

2:53follow this 10-step program Rejoice all

2:56your problems will be gone [ __ ] dumb

2:57boy not me this time is different man

3:00trust me I feel like things might be

3:01falling in place and my music’s being

3:03kind of doing bits too like I actually

3:05might do something great and when I’m

3:07gone maybe I’ll be remembered for doing

3:10something special with myself that’s why

3:12I don’t think that we should talk man

3:13because when you’re with me it never

3:14seems to help you think that you can

3:16amputate me I am you you are me you are

3:18I I am we We Are One split into that

3:20makes one so you see you gotta kill you

3:22if you wanna kill me I’m not left over

3:24then I’m not scraps on the side oh your

3:26music is thriving delusional guys

3:30real quick dude I’m sorry man I can’t I

3:33want to say stuff but I’m not about to

3:35talk over this song this [ __ ] gives me

3:37chills bro I’m like it’s almost a split

3:39personality or a voice in his head type

3:41of thing

3:43let me look at something okay so there’s

3:45a comment by Ren dude it talks about the

3:48story up until I was nine years old I

3:49would intermittently hear a voice in my

3:50head that was not my own the voice was

3:52distinctly different than mine and

3:53always negative it would self-criticize

3:55or urge me to do things I knew would be

3:57morally wrong the most peculiar thing

3:59about the voice was that it took no

4:00effort on my behalf to produce my own

4:03thoughts always felt like there was a

4:04process that required effort to bring

4:05them into the Forefront of my mind this

4:07voice appeared as though it was spoken

4:09by another the sentences felt

4:11predetermined like they had already been

4:13constructed holy [ __ ] and then it goes

4:14on to talk about guys if you haven’t

4:16read this comment I’m gonna leave it on

4:17the screen real quick pause it and read

4:19this wow

4:21holy [ __ ]

4:23the back and forth of the voice inside

4:25your head and then your actual mind

4:27battling something like that dude it has

4:29to be abnormally tough it’s got to be

4:31perpetually exhausting oh God where’s

4:33your top 10 hit where’s your interview

4:35with Oprah wow your crummies run nowhere

4:38yeah but my music’s not commercial like

4:40that I never chase number statistics or

4:42Stars I never write hooks for the radio

4:44they never even play me so why would I

4:46concern myself with that but my music is

4:48really connecting and the people who

4:50find it respected and for me that’s

4:52enough because this life’s been tough so

4:54it gives me a purpose I can rest in man

4:56you sound so pretentious ran your music

4:58is so self-centered no one wants to hear

5:00another song about how much you hate

5:02yourself trust me you should be so lucky

5:04having me inside you to guide you remind

5:06you to manage expectations provide you

5:08perspective nothing you neglected I get

5:10it you wanna be a big deal next to me

5:12Hendrix forget it man it’s not like that

5:14man is just like that I’m inside you you

5:16twice no it’s not mine you’re wrong when

5:18I write I belong let me break the fourth

5:19wall by acknowledging this song Ren sits

5:22down has a stroke of Genius once the

5:24right song that was not done previous a

5:25battle with the subconscious Eminem did

5:27it played on guitar Plan B did it man

5:30had an original criminal record fires

5:32the Pinnacle of your successes stealing

5:33other people’s material and mate we’ve

5:35heard it before

5:37[ __ ] you I don’t need you I don’t need

5:40to hear this cause I’m flying by myself

5:42I’m a genius and I will be great and I

5:44will make waves and I’ll shake up the

5:46whole world beneath it that’s right

5:47speak your truth your [ __ ] God

5:49complex leaks out of you it’s refreshing

5:51to ask for you say it instead of

5:53downplay couple things dude I absolutely

5:55love I love this concept such a unique

5:59song and video for one it’s got an

6:01incredible bounce to it and his flow

6:02like the dude can [ __ ] rap and it’s

6:04really impressive also he can like play

6:07the guitar quite well so they’re having

6:08those combinations right there it’s very

6:10different and abnormally relatable and I

6:13love it whenever it’s his like more

6:14demonic side that the lights flickering

6:16whenever it’s actually Ren talking it’s

6:18just light right I have never heard a

6:21song like this before uh music is all

6:24about the creative process and if people

6:26can find something to relate to within

6:27that then that’s just a bonus [ __ ] you

6:30I’ma [ __ ] kill you random [ __ ]

6:31kill me then I [ __ ] have you right

10:01I shouted out into an empty room

10:04into a blank canvas that I would defeat

10:06the forces of evil

10:07and for the next 10 years of my life I

10:09suffered the consequences

10:11with autoimmunity illness and psychosis

10:16as I got older I realized there were no

10:19real winners and there were no real

10:21losers in psychological warfare but

10:24there were victims

10:25and there were students

10:27it wasn’t David versus Goliath it was a

10:31pendulum

10:32eternally swaying from the dark to the

10:34light

10:35and the more intensely that the light

10:37Shone the darker the shadow it casts wow

10:41it was never really a battle holy [ __ ]

10:44you heard that the more intense the

10:46light the more intense the darkness the

10:48Devil comes for you when you’re on top

10:49when you’re in a good position when

10:51things are going properly in your life

10:53the Devil comes for you at those moments

10:55but for me to win it was an eternal

10:57dance like a dance the more rigid I

11:00became the harder it got the more I

11:03curse My Clumsy footsteps the more I

11:05struggled so I got older and I learned

11:09to relax and I learned to soften and

11:12that dance got easier

11:15it is this eternal dance that separates

11:18human beings from angels from demons

11:21from gods

11:24and I must not forget

11:27we must not forget

11:29that we are human beings

11:41wow guys it’s it’s songs and song is not

11:45even a good word to describe this it’s

11:47artwork it’s an experience it’s the

11:51epitome of impact it’s so relatable and

11:54and I it’s it’s a masterpiece okay

11:57sometimes you can’t describe what a

11:59masterpiece is but whenever you hear it

12:01and you watch it and you experience it

12:04that’s the only way that you can know

12:06um with this I think that Ren is such a

12:10smart individual one it took it took a

12:13tremendous amount of courage and effort

12:15I’d imagine to make a song like this

12:17everything about it was so top-notch the

12:21creativity of this song The originality

12:23of it right and you know that whenever

12:25and if you focus in on the small parts

12:26of the song the mix master of it the

12:28flow of it the pacing of it the how the

12:30video mimics the song and how the song

12:32supplements the video which gives an

12:33explanation to the higher message that

12:35he’s trying to portray it’s it’s so high

12:38quality and despite the fact that this

12:40is one of of the most well done music

12:42videos and songs that I’ve seen in the

12:45longest time none of those things hold a

12:47candle to the relatability of it and the

12:49comfort that this song would bring so

12:51many people out there in the world are

12:53dealing with things every single person

12:55is dealing with an internal battle that

12:57you know nothing about

12:58um and it’s work right to try to be kind

13:00to people to try to be supportive to try

13:02to be empathetic it’s work trust me but

13:04I fail every day because I could always

13:06be better and I and I don’t want you

13:07guys out there to be upset with yourself

13:09whenever you fail at being positive or

13:11fail at being empathetic but that is

13:13definitely what we should strive for and

13:15I think that it is so cool that Ren came

13:18out and made a song like that I don’t

13:19that was the very first song that I’ve

13:21heard it makes me feel like I understand

13:22him a bit more it truly makes me want to

13:25sit down and have a conversation with

13:26them just about life and it’s songs like

13:28these that I absolutely love reacting to

13:30because that is the core that is the
