A Report on Our Two Sessions with Stephen Bassett and What Happened the Day the Storm Hit Maui

Two broadcasts. One major storm. One legendary filmmaker declared on a Texas stage that he believes extraterrestrials are on Earth right now. And in March 2026, a news cycle emerged that was so fantastical that people would have considered it science fiction a year earlier. The Disclosure NOW series exists to track this convergence in real time — and the convergence does not slow down for weather.

On March 6 and March 13, 2026, I joined co-host Theresa J. Morris to welcome Stephen Bassett, executive director of Paradigm Research Group and America’s only registered ET disclosure lobbyist, back to Aquarian Media for back-to-back sessions. The first session built the historical framework of the disclosure movement. A catastrophic Kona storm, which caused power outages on three to four Hawaiian islands, compelled me to use a mobile phone without lighting, and turned the audio into static when Bassett was about to display the day’s most important article on his screen, cutting the second part short. The article was The Hollywood Reporter’s live coverage of Steven Spielberg’s SXSW keynote, delivered the same morning as the broadcast.

In the weeks leading up to these sessions, the news moved fast. Trump directed the Pentagon to release UAP files. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed AARO’s caseload now exceeds 2,000 reports. Congress held new hearings. A Bank of England veteran warned the UK’s central bank to prepare for financial disruption following the ET disclosure. Spielberg’s Disclosure Day trailer hit 14 million views in days and ranked #9 on YouTube’s trending chart. His home saw the disappearance of a retired Air Force major general who once led Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, and he remains unfound.

The truth does not wait for pleasant weather.

WHERE WE STAND: THE NEWS AS OF MARCH 2026

The DC Side: Promises, Hearings, and a Missing General

President Trump announced on February 20, 2026, that he would direct the Department of Defense and other federal agencies to “begin identifying and releasing government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, UAPs, and UFOs.” The announcement came after former President Barack Obama says on a podcast that aliens are “real” — then immediately walked the comment back to mean only the statistical likelihood of life elsewhere in the universe.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed that AARO now has over 2,000 UAP reports dating back to 1945. Military personnel, pilots, and government employees submitted these reports, describing objects they could not explain as known aircraft, drones, or weather phenomena. No timeline specifies any file release.

At a House Oversight Committee joint subcommittee hearing titled “Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Exposing the Truth,” former military intelligence official Luis Elizondo testified that advanced technologies not manufactured by any known government actively monitor sensitive military and nuclear installations worldwide. In a 2015 incident, retired Rear Admiral Tim Gallaudet explained that a UAP video sent to naval officers mysteriously disappeared from their inboxes with no explanation. Journalist Michael Shellenberger testified about a classified program called “Immaculate Constellation,” which reportedly holds thousands of high-resolution UAP images significantly clearer than anything currently public.

The most unsettling development: Retired Air Force Major General William Neil McCasland — who once led Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the Ohio facility at the center of decades of UFO retrieval theories — disappeared from his Albuquerque home. Authorities state no evidence links his disappearance to UFO research. The disclosure community remains unconvinced.

A former Bank of England senior analyst wrote directly to the bank’s governor, warning that UAP disclosure “is likely to induce ontological shock and provoke psychological responses with material consequences,” and urging the bank to prepare for a potential financial crisis. She described the U.S. government as “partway through a multi-year process to declassify and disclose information on the existence of a technologically advanced non-human intelligence.” The Bank of England. Planning for aliens.

The Hollywood Side: Full Surge

Disclosure Day, directed by Steven Spielberg, opens June 12, 2026. Its full trailer dropped on March 12 and hit 14 million views within days. The film centers on a whistleblower’s push for full, immediate, global disclosure of seventy-nine years of government-concealed ET interaction. Seventy-nine years before 2026 is 1947. Roswell.

Disclosure Day is not alone. Jerry Bruckheimer is producing a UFO disclosure thriller for Apple Original Film, directed by Joseph Kosinski and described as a “UFO-themed All the President’s Men,” with Congressional UAP whistleblower David Grusch attached as a consultant. A “historically anchored” Roswell film is in development. Dan Farah’s documentary The Age of Disclosure — featuring 34 current and former government officials — broke Prime Video’s VOD record for highest-grossing documentary of all time when it dropped in November 2025.

Bassett’s argument, built over thirty years, is that Hollywood has been doing the public conditioning work since 1951. It is now doing it louder than at any point in history.

WHAT HAPPENED ON AIR: THE TWO BASSETT SESSIONS

Session One — March 6, 2026: The Historical Framework

Bassett opened with the foundational argument he has refined over three decades: the disclosure effort has always operated from two geographic centers — Washington, DC, and Los Angeles — and understanding how they differ explains everything about why disclosure has taken this long.

The DC side is where disclosure must officially happen. The President is the only person with the authority to end the truth embargo. Achieving that requires legislation, congressional oversight, and members willing to stake political capital on a subject the DOD and intelligence agencies have suppressed for nearly eighty years. Geopolitical crises repeatedly interrupted progress, making it ragged. The pattern: momentum builds, crisis strikes, disclosure gets pushed aside.

The LA side operates on a completely different logic. Filmmakers make their own calls. No intelligence agency holds veto power over a screenplay. Since 1951 — four years after Roswell — Hollywood and global film centers have produced approximately 1,000 science fiction films, 600 of which feature extraterrestrials. These films reach international audiences—billions of views across seventy-five years. The government did almost nothing to educate the public. Hollywood did it from the beginning, without being asked, and never stopped.

Session One also established the current danger. The unprecedented momentum of 2017–2024 is now being pushed aside by what Bassett described as a developing world war scenario. He drew a direct parallel to how 9/11 and the Iraq War killed the late-1990s disclosure momentum. The pattern, he warned, is repeating.

Session Two — March 13, 2026: The Storm Session

The second session opened with me on my mobile phone from Maui, no lights, trees down, power out across multiple islands. Theresa held the broadcast together from her end while Bassett updated the two-pillar analysis: DC in trouble, Hollywood still moving. He attempted to share the Spielberg/SXSW article on screen. The storm made it impossible. The audio dissolved. They rescheduled the session.

After the formal sign-off, Bassett quietly shared something personal. He described watching the stars above Santa Barbara, near Vandenberg Air Force Base, at two in the morning — noticing a stream of sky growing dark, then returning to normal as a circular object passed overhead, visible only by the stars it occulted. The only UFO he has ever seen. For a man who has spent thirty years as a political strategist and lobbyist, the quiet personal disclosure landed with unusual weight.

SPIELBERG AT SXSW: THE ARTICLE BASSETT COULDN’T SHOW

On the morning of March 13, 2026, Steven Spielberg sat down with Sean Fennessey at South by Southwest for a keynote conversation. For years, the disclosure community has discussed his words.

“I don’t know any more than any of you do, but I have a very strong suspicion that we are not alone here on Earth right now — and I made a movie about that.”

The film is Disclosure Day, from Spielberg’s own original story, with a screenplay by David Koepp and score by John Williams — their thirtieth collaboration. It opens June 12, 2026, exactly seventy-nine years after Roswell.

Spielberg credited two developments with reinvigorating him: the New York Times’ 2017 investigation into a secret government UAP tracking program, and the congressional hearings featuring government whistleblowers. The same political momentum Bassett spent three decades helping build fed directly into the most commercially powerful filmmaker in American history, choosing ET disclosure as his next creative act.

He noted that half his friends have seen UFOs. “Where’s the justice of that?” he asked, laughing. Then turned serious: his film accounts for the theological and social disruption that official acknowledgment of long-running ET interaction would produce. Not lethal, he said. But real.

Trailer Two — Big Game Spot (Super Bowl LX, February 8, 2026)

First glimpse of the craft itself. Global scale established. This is not a quiet drama.

Trailer Three — Official Full Trailer (March 12, 2026)

14 million views. #9 trending on YouTube. Josh O’Connor has stolen government data about non-human beings. “Are they people?” “No.” Emily Blunt channels an alien transmission live on air. Colman Domingo: “This 79-year terror campaign of lies has to end.” Full disclosure, to the whole world, all at once. Colin Firth warns it “will upend all established order.” Closing line: “When the time is right, everything will become clear.”

WHAT THE PROPHETS SAID: 2026, ALIENS, AND THE END OF CONCEALMENT

The disclosure movement frames itself in political and evidentiary terms. Beneath that framework runs fresh evidence: the testimony of seers, prophets, and indigenous knowledge keepers who described, in the language available to them, exactly what appears to be unfolding now.

Biblical and Apocalyptic Prophecy

According to the Book of Revelation, an age of concealment concludes with the forced recognition of a presence previously hidden from humankind, the collapse of all established belief systems, and a reassessment of humanity’s position within a wider existence. The Book of Daniel marks a period of concealment before forced revelation. The structural pattern across these texts is consistent: long suppression, external force, collapse of the deception infrastructure, and global disruption.

Hopi and Indigenous Star People Traditions

The Hopi speak of the return of the Star People — beings who seeded and shaped humanity, withdrew, and would return at the end of the Fourth World. Signs of that transition include severe weather disruptions, the collapse of concealment systems, and the emergence of beings humanity has always known, on some level, but has learned to deny. The Lakota, Anishinabe, and related nations carry similar traditions of star ancestors who return in a time of great transformation. These are not new-age retrofits. They are among the oldest continuous oral traditions on the continent.

Nostradamus and the 2026 Window

Nostradamus repeatedly described a period of revelation where hidden things become visible faster than institutions can manage. This period includes sky phenomena that confound the learned, mass awareness that arrives faster than governments can respond, and humanity renegotiating its fundamental relationship with forces it previously learned to deny. A Spielberg film called Disclosure Day, opening in summer 2026, premised on seventy-nine years of concealed ET interaction, arriving alongside Trump’s UAP declassification directive and Congressional whistleblower testimony, lands precisely inside that prophetic description.

The Anunnaki Framework and the Sitchin Record

I studied directly with Zecharia Sitchin from 1998 to 2010. What Sitchin reconstructed from Sumerian cuneiform makes the current moment look less like a surprise and more like a schedule. The Anunnaki did not abandon humanity. They withdrew from direct governance while remaining engaged. The Epic of Gilgamesh, the Enuma Elish, and related Mesopotamian texts describe cyclical contact: direct engagement, managed withdrawal, and return. Multiple texts describe a time when the Anunnaki would make themselves known again to the entire human population — openly, no longer through selected intermediaries. The structural trigger: humanity reaches a level of technological and social development that makes concealment both unnecessary and counterproductive. Our nation possesses nuclear weapons. We have reached space. We have built a global communication network. The Anunnaki management timeline’s internal logic indicates that the conditions are met.

Spielberg’s question — “Have we been alone over the last few thousand years?” — is not rhetorical for those who have read the tablets. The Sumerian record answers it directly: no.

The DC Side: Promises, Hearings, and a Missing General

President Trump announced on February 20, 2026, that he would direct the Department of Defense and other federal agencies to “begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, UAPs, and UFOs.” The announcement came after former President Barack Obama said on a podcast that aliens are “real” — then immediately walked the comment back to mean only that he believed in the statistical likelihood of life elsewhere in the universe. Trump responded by claiming Obama had revealed classified information.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed that AARO — the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, established in 2022 — now carries a caseload exceeding 2,000 UAP reports dating back to 1945, submitted by military personnel, pilots, and government employees describing objects that could not be explained as known aircraft, drones, or weather phenomena. Hegseth stated that the DOD will be “in full compliance” with Trump’s directive, working closely with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to implement the directive’s disclosure requirements. No timeline has been provided.

At a House Oversight Committee joint subcommittee hearing titled “Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Exposing the Truth,” witnesses, including former military intelligence official Luis Elizondo, testified that advanced technologies not manufactured by any known government actively monitor sensitive military and nuclear installations worldwide. Retired Rear Admiral Tim Gallaudet described a 2015 incident in which a UAP video sent to naval officers was mysteriously deleted from their inboxes without explanation. Disclosure Day, directed by Steven Spielberg, opens June 12, 2026. Its full trailer dropped on March 12 and hit 14 million views within days. Disclosure Day is not alone. Jerry Bruckheimer is producing a UFO disclosure thriller for Apple Original Films, directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick) and described as a “UFO-themed All the President’s Men,” with Congressional UAP whistleblower David Grusch attached as a consultant. A “historically anchored” Roswell film is in development, with its creators treating the incident “like a crime scene.” Dan Farah’s documentary The Age of Disclosure — featuring 34 current and former government officials discussing UAPs — broke Prime Video’s VOD record for highest-grossing documentary of all time when it dropped in November 2025.

Some observers argue that Disclosure Day and the documentary represent a coordinated government-Hollywood movement to prepare humanity for near-term disclosure of alien life. The fact that Farah produced Spielberg’s Ready Player One has added fuel to this interpretation. Universal has declined to comment on its marketing strategy for the film.

Bassett’s argument, built over thirty years: Hollywood has been doing the public conditioning work since 1951. It is now doing it louder than at any point in history.

Asked “Are they people?” he answers: “No.” Emily Blunt’s meteorologist begins channeling something on live television in a language only O’Connor’s character can understand. Colman Domingo frames the stakes: “This 79-year terror campaign of lies has to end.” His plan: full disclosure, to the entire world, all at once. WHAT THE PROPHETS SAID: 2026, ALIENS, AND THE END OF CONCEALMENT

The disclosure movement frames itself in political and evidentiary terms — legislation, whistleblowers, Congressional hearings, declassified documents. Beneath that framework, in traditions stretching back thousands of years, runs a different kind of evidence: the testimony of seers, prophets, and indigenous knowledge keepers who described, in the language available to them, exactly what appears to be unfolding now.

Biblical and Apocalyptic Prophecy

The Book of Revelation describes the end of an age of concealment and the revelation of beings and truths long hidden from humanity. Hopi and Indigenous Star People Traditions

The Hopi speak of the return of the Star People — beings who seeded and shaped humanity, who withdrew, and who would return at the end of the Fourth World to usher in the Fifth. Nostradamus and the 2026 Window

Stephen Bassett is the executive director of Paradigm Research Group, which he founded in July 1996 in Bethesda, Maryland. He is the first and, as of this writing, the only person ever to register as a lobbyist with the United States government specifically advocating for ET disclosure — the formal, official acknowledgment by a head of state that a non-human presence has been engaging the human race.
