This old house was built in 1848, before the Civil War at 800 Orchard Avenue. We were forced to sell it when my sister got dementia and we had to scramble to take care of her. We sold it to people who remodeled it and are now trying to sell her. My family owned old Bessie since my grandfather bought it in 1920. We were forced to sell her in 2025. But here she is, all remodeled and saved from demolition. And God willing, if the stars are aligned with the heavens, I’m going to buy her back. And I have no idea in the world how I could possibly do that. But at some point you just have to state your wishes and give it to God.
Here’s old Bessie (named after my mother’s mother).
